Sharing Christmas: last day to apply
Sharing Christmas is a Christmas store where approved families shop for new toys, clothes and books for their children at 10% of retail value. It is a discount store, not a giveaway.
Applications close November 27. Approval or denial comes by email by December 4, from sharingchristmas@helplinecenter.org, so check your spam folder.

the form makes you name a referring agency, and there is no option for applying on your own. Nineteen agencies are on that list and the Helpline Center is one of them. If no agency is already working with you, call 211 first and ask for a referral.
The form asks for everyone in your household with dates of birth, your address, phone and email, every source of monthly income, every monthly expense, a media release, and your consent to put your information into the Helpline Center Network of Care, a client record system shared with agencies across South Dakota.
You have to live within 15 miles of their E 8th St campus. One application per family, and duplicates get deleted. One major holiday program per family, so this or a Thanksgiving basket or Angel Tree, not both. To change an application after you send it, call 211.
Store dates are December 12, 14 and 15.
