SUMMARY:Cherub’s Closet Diaper Distribution
DESCRIPTION:Free diapers and baby clothes\, third Saturday of every month\, 1 to 3pm at Oak Hills Baptist Church\, 6201 S Lyncrest Ave. \n\n\n\nDiapers in newborn through size 6\, plus gently used clothing from newborn to 3T. While supplies last\, so earlier beats later. \n\n\n\nThere is no income test. Their words: “Anyone is able to come and get diapers for their child. You do not need to prove financial need.” No appointment either\, you just show up. \n\n\n\nBuuut\, bring two things or they cannot serve you: a photo ID\, and a piece of mail showing your current mailing address. They will also write down your child’s name and date of birth. \n\n\n\nOne pack of diapers per child\, up to two packs per family per month. \n\n\n\nIf you are pregnant\, you can start coming in the two months before your due date. \n\n\n\nIf you want someone else to be able to pick up for you later\, you have to come in person yourself at least once first. \n\n\n\nRun by a Baptist church. Nothing in their own description asks you to attend a service or take part in anything religious to get diapers. \n\n\n\n6201 S Lyncrest Ave. They publish no phone number for the program. The church office email is admin@oakhills.net. oakhills.net/reach/cherubs-closet

SUMMARY:Mutual Aid Gathering 12/28
DESCRIPTION:Monthly Gathering\nGather with the community around a free meal! \nJoin the Sioux Falls Mutual Aid community for free food\, rummage\, and information on local health and social services. Come together to strengthen our community and create opportunities for connection. Always family-friendly. \nFourth Tuesday of every month\, 5 to 7pm. See the calendar for the next one. \nMutual aid has been a vital resource for vulnerable community members for centuries. At its core\, mutual aid involves the sharing of skills\, money\, resources\, or information outside the influence of power-imbalanced government entities\, charity\, and profit-driven motives. Everyone has an equal voice\, opinion\, and chance to benefit from the system.
